Hi, I'm Heather. The main photographer. With pictures - seeing is believing.
It's a love of fairy tales and believing in the magic of childhood imagination. Realizing that as parents, you can have nice pictures of your children in many places - the goal is to provide something more, something different and something truly exceptional.
A Timeless Tale Photography was born of a belief that pictures should be 'Timeless' and accessible. We provide outfits up to 12 years (we understand how expensive formal clothes can be) but the choice is yours - bring your own outfit and we'll compliment it with one of our many backgrounds. A unique composition considered for your child(ren).
I've been running this business since 2012, visiting shopping centre's all across the UK, although I've been a children's photographer for 20+ years. I love visiting different locations, and this part of the business will continue, as well as now offering Newborn home-sittings from our base in Dumfries and the surrounding areas: Cumbria, Southwest Scotland and Central Scotland.
A little bit about us...
I've always wanted to be a Photographer. I graduated in 2001 with an Advanced Diploma in Illustrative Photography. My interest in photography has never waned and whilst employed for a large UK photographic firm, I won numerous awards including "Best Photographer in Region" and "Best Photographer in Company". I've come a long way from the six year old that used to take pictures of my little sister dressed in toilet roll - yes, I even styled her specially for the occasion!
My little sister helps - a lot! She's a designer and illustrator. She does a lot of the quiet background technical work, and assists me in places. She actually graduated as a chemist, and when it comes to print quality and longevity of your prints, she's the person to ask. We print in-house, and guarantee our quality.
Photography techniques and styles have trends and influences, and we feel it's important to straddle the traditional with the new. However when it comes to customer service, we prefer to have a personal touch. When you contact us, you will always be speaking to either one of us - a real person in this digital age. We prefer having a small customer-friendly business.
Gallery shots are real examples from the many places we have visited. Enough about us. A photographer should be judged on their work, so please feel free to have a good look through ours and make it part of your story.
